111-year-old woman becomes a US citizen

second-oldest person ever to be naturalized

 An Iraqi woman has become a U.S. citizen at age 111. Warina Zaya Bashou took the oath of citizenship in a special ceremony last week in her home, north of Detroit.

According to USCIS, Bashou is the second-oldest person on record to be naturalized.
