Public Comments on the New N-400

many ideas offered by individuals and groups around the country

The public comment period for the revised new citizenship application (N-400) has ended. Over 30 groups and individuals submitted comments, including Asian Pacific American Legal Center, Immigration Legal Resource Center, Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, Catholic Legal Immigration Network, National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, and of course, Citizenship News.

Most of the comments raise good points and offer sensible suggestions for improving the form. We'll see how many of these ideas actually make their way into the final version of the form when it is released a few months from now.
