Responding the USCIS Fee Changes: How to Fight Back and Prepare Your Program for What’s Ahead

Nov. 21, 2019 | 2 p.m. ET Free

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services released its proposal to adjust certain immigration benefit fees including naturalization, family-based petitions, adjustment of status and travel documents on Nov. 8, 2019. While the biennial fee review has been expected, the proposed changes include new fees for applicants for asylum and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, renewals that are garnering broad opposition. The rule also proposes to eliminate fee waivers for critical immigration benefits such as naturalization, citizenship certificates, etc. During this webinar, you will learn more about these proposals and their implications on vulnerable, low-income immigrants. You will also hear more about how CLINIC and other advocates are responding, how your program can join us in the fight and how to prepare your programs and communities for the changes ahead.

A recorded version of this webinar will be posted on our website.
